CBT Association For Hypnotherapists

Full Membership is open to any therapist with a qualification in CBT / CBH, who utilizes
either Hypnotherapy, NLP or Psychotherapy and is in practice.
Those who are in the medical profession/complimentary medicine practitioner, working
part time as a therapist, must also be able to show an advanced working knowledge
of hypnosis/hypnotherapy in these subjects, besides being a CBT therapist.
Applicants must be able to show a commitment to their own ongoing professional development
such as attending advanced / master class training courses, and to pledge that they
will continue with their ongoing professional development. A minimum of 30 hours
credits in any 12 month period are needed to maintain membership. It would certainly
be of value if part of the credit pertained to CBT.
Applicants/members must hold an up to date public indemnity/liability insurance for
a minimum of two million pounds (£2.m)
Applicants must supply the name and address of two therapists, who can give a reference.
One of whom must be in full time hypnotherapy practice, or the name of an existing
CBTAH member who is willing to endorse the application.
Successful applicants will receive a certificate and be entitled to use MCBTAH after
their name and on advertising. Their details will be published on the Cognitive Behaviour
Association For Hypnotherapists web site.
All members must adhere to our Code of Ethics.

The fee for joining is £150, this is a one-off payment,
which saves paying a fee every year.
